Burwil Construction is planning to repair the fiber in the basement of the Culp Center this Saturday, January 9 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The voice and data network will be shut down during that time. That means the voice, internet and Wi-Fi will be out of service. We are planning this work on Saturday in case there are problems and the work needs to continue on the following day, Sunday. The fire alarm fiber will be inoperable during the repair, but there will be a “fire watch” on duty to notify Public Safety Dispatch of any fire alarm occurrences till the fire alarm fiber is restored. The Culp Center is scheduled to be closed this weekend so we don’t anticipate any issues.
