D2L intermittently inaccessible from off campus
The D2L hosting provider has made some emergency DNS changes. Although the D2L server is alive and well, many computers and Internet providers are still looking for it at the wrong address. The changes made could take a day or longer to propagate globally.
- D2L recommends that you hit Refresh on your web browser to reload the page.
- If a Refresh doesn't help, try rebooting to clear your DNS resolver cache.
- If neither of those steps restores service, then your Internet provider could be caching an obsolete IP address -- in which case all you can do is either wait and try again in a few hours, or contact your Internet service provider for assistance.
The changes were made in response to equipment failure, and were unavoidable. The hosting facility sincerely apologizes for the disruption of service, as do we.
