Most south and west side doors will either be completely replaced or be upgraded with new ADA-compliant hardware. This should not impede normal access by building users in a significant way.
The single door at the west side that leads to an Electrical Room will receive a new concrete stoop. This will prevent this door from being used for a couple of days.
Various steps will undergo handrail replacement. Interruption to pedestrian traffic should be periodic and brief. Temporary handrails will be provided between the removal of the existing handrails and installation of new handrails.
A portion of sidewalk to the right of the main south entrance facing Lamb Hall will be replaced. Handicap access through this entrance will be unavailable while this work is taking place. It is scheduled to start May 19 and end May 28.
