Telephone Issue


Update 3: The local carrier is still having difficulty with this. They are working on the problem and Information Technology will be working with them until the problem is resolved.

Update 2: Some carriers other than Verizon are also getting the "All Lines Busy" error. We have reports from users of Sprint, ATT and Charter.

Our local carrier, Windstream, has acknowledged the error and has indicated it is a widespread issue with their system. There is no estimate on a resolution.

UPDATE: Both Verizon and ETSU's phone provider have acknowledge the problem and are working on a solution. No extimated time of resolution is known at this time.

Information Technology has been informed that calls from Verizon cell phones to ETSU numbers are not being received. Verizon has been informed as well as the university's local phone provider. Both are working for a solution. There is no estimate at this time.
