OIT has become aware that a software update from Microsoft has caused problems on several Windows 7 computers on campus this morning. Windows XP and Windows Vista are not affected.
If your computer is running Windows 7, it is important that you DO NOT REBOOT.
If your Windows 7 computer has this error, please contact the OIT Help Desk at oithelp@etsu.edu (preferred) or by phone at 439-4648.
A fix has been obtained from Microsoft but it requires manual updates to the system. We will be working through the Help Desk to resolve these issues.
