I have no problem with the Graduate School Dean making the decision, but program coordinators should be consulted before that decision is made. There could be a situation where the student is applying to the same concentration and with a limited number of courses they can bring in, they are re-taking coursework that is essentially the same as the previous time they took the coursework.
No decision should be made without feedback from the program coordinator and a deep look at the program of study.

In the policy introduction, the policy refers to “Good Academic Standing” and the defined term is "Good Standing". Should the two align?
